What image size does Instagram use?
Instagram shows photos 1080 pixels wide: a square is 1080 × 1080, a portrait up to 1080 × 1350. Anything larger it shrinks on its own.
Why remove location data?
Phone photos often record where they were taken. In a listing that can reveal your address to strangers — the tool always removes this data.
Why do listing photos sometimes look blurry?
Sites shrink oversized photos themselves, and the result can be worse. Upload a light JPG of the right size, and there is little left for them to redo.
