The amount is copied as a plain number — for a spreadsheet or an app. “With rate and date” is a line for a document.

How it works

  1. The rate is the official one from the National Bank of Ukraine website for the chosen date. Offline, the last saved rate is used, with its date shown.
  2. Your browser does the maths: amount × NBU rate, rounded to the cent. Between two foreign currencies it goes through the hryvnia — the NBU cross rate.
  3. Only the official NBU rate is shown here. Bank and exchange office rates are not — each has its own.

Questions

Where does the rate come from?

From the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine (bank.gov.ua) — the same rate as in the NBU table for the chosen date. There is a link to that table under the result, so you can check it in one tap.

How do I convert a currency to hryvnias at the NBU rate?

Multiply the amount by the official NBU rate for the date you need and round to the kopiyka. The converter shows this formula under the result, ready to paste into a document with the amount.

How do I convert dollars to euros?

Through the hryvnia: amount × dollar rate ÷ euro rate, both NBU rates for the same date. That is the cross rate — the converter calculates it and shows it on a separate line.

Why is the bank rate different?

The NBU sets one official rate — it is used for taxes, reporting and customs payments. Banks and exchange offices buy and sell currency at their own rates, so those are not shown here.

Does it work offline?

Yes, with the last saved rate — its date is always shown next to it. A fresh rate loads as soon as you are back online.
