Short answer
Website builder or developer for an online store — which to choose?
A website builder is for when you assemble the store yourself from a ready-made template. A developer builds the store around your products. With me, that means filters that match how your customers search, card or cash-on-delivery payments, and every order sent to your admin and your Telegram. You manage products and stock yourself, and the domain, code and customer base sit on your accounts.
- Filters built for your products
- Orders to your admin and Telegram
- You run the catalog yourself
- Price quoted personally

Your store, cut to fit your products
Pick what you sell and watch the pattern pieces change. Filters and the product page follow your range; the rest of the store is already sewn.
What do you sell?
- I build a clothing store around the size grid, not a template: sell the last black L and it disappears from the options while other sizes stay. More on a clothing store.
- Cosmetics are bought with one question: will it suit my skin? So the filter is by skin type, and the ingredients are on every product page before anyone has to ask. More on a cosmetics store.
- Auto parts buyers come with a part number or their car’s make — and see right away whether the part is in stock. You update prices and stock with a whole file. More on an auto parts store.
- People look for coffee by flavour and brewing method, so that’s how the filters work. Selling something else? Tell me how customers search for it, and the filters will match.
Already have a store? Show it to me: if your current one isn’t in your way, I’ll say so and leave it alone.

Questions
What people ask about builders and your own store
Website builder vs developer: what’s the difference for an online store?
With a builder, you assemble the store yourself. When you hire me, I build it around your products: filters that match how customers search, a cart, card or cash-on-delivery payments, and delivery to a pickup point from the carrier’s list. Every order goes to your admin and your Telegram, and the domain, code and customer base are on your accounts from day one.
My store is already on a builder. Do I have to move?
No. First I look at your store: if the builder isn’t getting in your way, I’ll say so and leave it alone. Your current store can also be improved without moving — the form, the mobile version, new sections.
What happens to a custom store if the developer disappears?
Code, domain, data and every login sit on your accounts from day one, so the store and the customer base stay with you. You change products, prices and stock yourself in the admin. Bugs found within 6 months of launch I fix at no extra cost, and I respond to critical ones within 2 hours, even on weekends.
Can I change products, prices and stock myself?
Yes. You change products, prices and stock in the admin yourself — no developer needed. A large range uploads from a catalog file, so you don’t add products one by one.
How do I move my products from a builder to my own store?
The catalog goes into the new store from a file. If your current platform lets you export products to a file, we use it. What we move and in what order goes into the plan we agree on before the first line of code.
Can I start without online payments?
Yes. You can launch with cash on delivery and add card payments later — the store won’t need rebuilding. Payments for orders go directly to you.
Hiring an ecommerce developer: will it be a team or one person?
One person — me: the conversation, structure, design, code, launch and support — no managers. You review a working version of the store on your own phone, not mockups, and edits are made on the spot.
How much does a custom ecommerce website cost?
I quote the price personally after our first conversation: what you sell, how many products, how you deliver and take payments. While the task stays the same, the price doesn’t go up, and you pay only for stages you’ve accepted.
